ABOUT
OHANA THERAPY

Ohana in Hawaiian means family. We chose
this name not just because we serve
families, but because we want you to feel
like we are part of yours.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

A family-oriented approach to therapy

We offer a comprehensive range of therapy services built around one core idea: that the best outcomes happen when our team, your family, and everyone who plays a role in your child’s life are working together.

Our services include individual and group sessions, delivered at our clinic, at your home, at your child’s school, or online — for infants, children, adolescents, and adults. And language is not a barrier; our team offers therapy in English, Mandarin, Malay, Tamil, Bahasa Indonesia, and Portuguese.

Our therapists bring a combined experience of more than 100 years across the public and private sectors, in Singapore and internationally. But what drives us isn’t our credentials; it’s integrity, trust, and a genuine commitment to seeing you do well.

OUR VALUES

What we believe in

A FAMILY-ORIENTED APPROACH

Caregivers are one of the most powerful forces in any child’s progress. We’re here to work alongside you, not around you. Everything we do is built on transparency and collaboration with the people who know your child best.

A FOCUS ON
STRENGTHS

Every client comes to us with existing strengths, and that’s always where we start. Building from a foundation of what someone can do, rather than what they can’t, is what keeps motivation alive and makes tackling harder skills genuinely possible.

EVIDENCE-BASED
METHODS

Good care means staying current. Our therapists regularly attend professional development training and follow the latest research to make sure every approach they use is grounded in what actually works.

A NEURODIVERSITY-AFFIRMING ENVIRONMENT

We are champions of every neurotype. We believe that neurological differences are not problems to fix — they are part of who a person is. Our goal is always acceptance, inclusion, and support that honours each individual’s unique profile.

A CLIENT-LED
JOURNEY

We focus on the person in front of us — their priorities, their goals, their pace. We build genuine relationships, listen carefully, and work collaboratively so that the people we support stay in control of their own lives and progress.

OUR MISSION

What guides us

We have the privilege of working with individuals and families who are committed to living full, meaningful lives, and we don’t take that lightly. Every diagnosis we encounter is treated with the respect it deserves: as one facet of a whole person, never a label that defines them.

We invest in getting to know each person. Their story, their background, their specific context. Our belief is that when we understand who someone is, we can be a more meaningful part of their support system, not just a service they attend.

Above all, we are committed to putting the client first — because we believe that every individual deserves and has the right to feel seen, heard, and known.

OUR BEGINNINGS

How we started

Our founder, Wanda Wijaya, started Ohana Therapy because she wanted to do things differently.

After years working in some of Singapore’s largest therapy settings, she realised that there was a gap between the public and private allied health sectors — a gap she could bridge by making therapy more accessible for everyone.

She set out to build her own: a practice that combines high-quality, evidence-based therapy with a more personal, relationship-centred approach, making therapy accessible for people from all backgrounds.

Ohana Therapy is the embodiment of those founding values — helping children and families feel supported, empowered, and understood no matter where they are on their journey. Today, the practice has expanded to more than 20 multidisciplinary specialists on the team, but the heart of the practice remains unchanged.
